Our
History
The roots of Gold in
Art Jewelers go back to the owner's grandfather,
Willie Kluesener, who mastered the trade in the
1940's on Canal Street in New York City. Since
then, the fine craft of jewelry making has been
passed down through the generations… along
with the standards and quality of yesteryear.
Gold In Art, Inc.
was opened first in Eustis, Florida in 1982 (by
Richie Kluesener and his uncle, Joseph Donofrio)
as a repair shop for jewelry stores. In 1985,
they decided to open its doors to the public in
downtown Mt. Dora, Florida. Since then, Joe has
retired and Richie is the sole owner of the
store.
Richie spends
most of his day at the jeweler's bench,
hand-carving custom pieces for the showcases and
for our customers.
Accompanying
Richie in the art of making jewelry is his
brother Kenny. Kenny also specializes in diamond
setting.
They are not
alone though. Most customers are greeted and
served by other members of the family, who are
also there to help with designing, bookkeeping,
advertising and general operations of the store.
We here at Gold
In Art Jewelers have the reputation of stocking
the finest collection of one-of-a-kind, custom
made jewelry. These pieces are hand crafted and
specifically designed to enhance the natural
beauty of each gemstone. Without any detail
omitted, the driving force at Gold In Art
Jewelers is customer satisfaction, quality and
honesty.
